What mixtures are in scope?

The scope of Article 45 notifications concerns mixtures:included in the scope of CLP,classified as hazardous for health and physical effect,placed on the market (i.e. supplying or making available, whether in return for payment or free of charge, to a third party).There are a number of exemptions – some of these fall under general exemptions of the CLP Regulation, plus additional exemptions stemming from Article 45 and Annex VIII.However, exempted mixtures may have additional use types and obligations under CLP Annex VIII may apply, for example with food flavourings used in e-cigarettes.The full list of exemptions is detailed in the Guidance on Annex VIII.
